Email: "You are the haters"

Our church prayed about you last Sunday. Our pastor, Dr, Shein, said that you called him a hater. We are not haters! We seek to maintain American values! Your song, "Love Cream Pie" is some kind of sex celebration. Look to the truth, or you may be found wanting.

Email: "I'm against the war."

Hi I heard your Bullet the Blue Sky song just now . That's a U2 song isn't it? I am against the war and I think your song makes it clear why. I like your singing and words.

Email: "I can use some ideas right about now."

My husband doesn't like Outgrabe, but I do. He says it gives me ideas, Well, I can use some ideas right about now. I mean, really, the deal is, if you don't know your a human being, you don't have any ideas, you know what I mean? Anyway, I like your songs. Okay, bye.

Post: "Very few would have the guts to pull this off."

What a throwback!! To the surf-sixties, that is. A somewhat B-52 groove influence combined with Dick Dale guitars. Very few would have the guts, or songwriting talent to pull this one off. Way to lay-back on the guitar amp's gain. With the current Dual Rectifier craze going on it is nice to hear a good clean combo tone for once. Why wasn't this on the Pulp Fiction soundtrack? Thanks for the chance to listen. I will add this to my party music comp.

Email: "I listen to your CDs late at night."

Well, City of God really spoke to me and where I'm at right now. As a member of the MORG, I see the good life, and I want it, but I no longer believe it. Your music is so close to my experience I think you must know what I'm talking about. You seem to have found joy in the wide world. I think I am headed that way, but I'm not there yet. And my DW is digging her heels in. Meanwhile, my TBM in-laws are making me insane with their continuous demands for shows of fidelity. I don't think I can do it much longer. I listen to your CDs late at night while I'm surfing and everyone else has gone to bed. I know this is going to be a long process and I'm glad I have your music and others of a similar mindset to help me through. You don't have to answer if you don't have time; I'm just thinking out loud.

Amazon Review of City of God: "OMG."

I've been playing this album non-stop for the last 4 days. I LOVE it. Reminds me, in a good way, of Faith and the Muse, Stevie Nicks and Jane Siberry.loud.
